Ottis Crabbe

I was born In Tofino and moved to Ucluelet before I was one years old in 2013 my parents opened a restaurant in Ucluelet called Abbondanza. After the first night of opening I had decided that I was not only going to become a cook but a chef. In 2019 after graduating high school I attended Vancouver Island University and took the one-year culinary program graduating in 2020 with honour roll and two culinary awards. During the Covid-19 pandemic I worked at lake house at Shawinigan as a commis and am now attending Vancouver Island University’s culinary management diploma program set to graduate in 2021.
